THE COMPLETE SEASON 1 (DESTINY CHILD GOSPEL MUSIC TALENT HUNT)MAKURDI AUDITION

Day 1 Makurdi zone auditions (06/08/2012) Gooooood morning Makurdi, beautiful Monday morning in the food basket of the nation. Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt is set to activate the Destiny of four (4) wonderful gospel singers. The venue came alive with final touches being put in place by the production crew as other members of staff put things in order for accreditation of contestants before the audition. The funny thing was, it looked like Makurdi thought the auditions were not going to hold, because the earlier turn out was very poor not until they saw the preparation, equipment and man power put together only to select four among others then they began to make phone calls to friends and relations as regards the reality of the event. Facebook and Twitter had so much traffic with questions from residents of Makurdi regarding the auditions.

Day 2 Makurdi zone auditions (07/08/2012) Day two started with orientation and counselling, from one of our destiny child staff to some contestants, with motivational and inspiring moment before the audition. Everybody was a winner until the judges say otherwise. Victorious but only four will head to DC City in Lagos. "You may forget the words God has spoken concerning you, guess what? This word cannot forget you! Stay with the atmosphere of God's word. God's word over your life is about to yield a bountiful harvest. Friends Straight to business in the Capital City of Benue State (Makurdi), the Middle belt and food basket of the nation- as the production crew merged all three audition rooms into one studio, with style and elegance. Auditions started with twenty (20) new contestants who showed up for the first time, with no time to waste, they were accredited and screened. The number of makurdi contestants peaked at 162 and total for round 2 auditions stood at 102, the judges went straight to work. Makurdi day 2 was so much fun as we saw an array of characters and talents, one of such talents was a 13 year old girl with plenty Gospel swag, so captivating that despite her age was given a pass to the semi finals. Wow!!! She really had it going. Another very interesting feature was a husband that accompanied his wife into the audition studio, when asked by the judges for his reason; he said he did it for moral support as he has always supported her musical career... hmmm sweet love..... Day two came to a climax with 33 contestants making it to the semi final stage of the Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt 2012 makurdi zone auditions. Makurdi started a bit slow and uneventful but at this point we were all having a blast in the food basket of the Nation. We all can't wait to see all successful 33 contestants battle for the final 4 spots to represent Makurdi zone at DC City in Lagos, until tomorrow it's.......... DESTINY CHILD!!! ACTIVATING YOUR DESTINY......

Day 3 Makurdi zone auditions (08/08/2012) One by one staff and crew of the Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt 2012 watched as the excited semi finalists walked into the venue of the Makurdi zone auditions, some had big smiles on their faces while some had the look of "God I pray to find my destiny here" all the same it was going to be a day full of surprises and expectations. The judges came in to the studio looking dashing with the traditional Benue (black & white attire) incorporated into their dressing for the day; it was really cool to see. With our judges all made up and looking fly, it was lights, camera and action. This was a semi final competition with a difference as the judges took everyone by surprise, by reducing the number of contestants from 33 down to 22 then to 15, this has not been done before, it didn't end there as the fifteen were now divided into 3 groups of five each. The final showdown was fierce with each group being called in and each contestant would sing to the admiration of the judges and group mates. The final decisions were made amidst so much suspense, increasing the level of emotions with 2 contestants chosen from one group and one each from the other two groups giving a total of four final contestants to represent the Makurdi zone in DC City. Emotions ran high with screaming, tears and one of the four literarily passing out (collapsing) from anxiety and suspense, it was truly a sight to behold, all these excitement brought the Makurdi zone auditions of the Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt 2012 to an end but we couldn't leave without the judges and host spending time to talk, inspire and take photographs with contestants while some of the contestants also took the opportunity to get musical instruments autographed by our judges.... *Epic!!! Day 3 didn't end without a surprise as staff and crew were hosted by Mr. Nyibiam Kwaghshir to a surprise event organised by the producer and Judge (MRS Ucheena Thelma Eshareturi), all crew members were treated to sights of the famous Benue cat dance and this took all of us by surprise. Benue was so much fun but the journey continues, as we head for our beds in preparation for the trip ahead. Owerri here we come.......... DESTINY CHILD!!! ACTIVATING YOUR DESTINY......
